Editorial Design

How does editorial design fit into any of those channels or formats?

When watching the video about Editorial Designs, I've learned how editorial can fit into any of the channels or formats mentioned in the video. Editorial design is an artistic activity focused on communication and related to functional, aesthetic and commercial aspects. Channels are the platforms or vehicles that you use to reach your audience, such as websites, social media, email, print, or events. Editorial design encompasses the design systems used to tell stories for magazines, websites, newspapers, and more. A format refers to the way that digital information is organized and presented. It can apply to a wide variety of file types, including documents, images, etc. The added element of time can be used to communicate. Editorial design can take its time over multiple pages. There are 4 types of formats in editorial design, grids, hierarchy, images and cross platform ramifications. One important element in any editorial design is typography. With the right typography, you can engage the reader to flip the pages. You want to make sure that the font you're using is appropriate to your target audience.
