Data Visualization at the Designing Peace Exhibition

  • What is the goal of data visualization?

  • Pick one exhibit and describe how it uses imagery to make its point?

  • How can you use your skills in graphic design to visualize your data?

  • How will you improve/revise your initial data visualization rough?

The goal of data visualization is to practice of translating information into a visual context, such as a map or graph, to make data easier for the human brain to understand and pull insights from. The main goal of data visualization is to make it easier to identify patterns, trends and outliers in large data sets. One exhibit that I found interesting is the Design for peace section. This section describes how people can envision designs for peace which can occur right now and in the future. Data visualization is often to make it easier to identify patterns, trends and outliers in large data sets. The term is often used interchangeably with others, including information graphics, information visualization and statistical graphics. I can use my skills in graphic design to visualize your data by planning first on what topic I will be doing and how creative I should be in order to do my data. I will improve/ revise my initial data visualization rough by seeing which one I think is the best regarding how much information and effort I put in the project.
